Ewans 2016 concerts

Wet Wet Wet- 26th February 2016 - Genting Arena Birmingham
I am always at a loss on what to get Mrs T for valentines day, but this year I struck gold, see I know that in her younger years she was a huge WWW fan (she tells me its not because of the Rangers connection, but I'm not sure).  Their reunion tour had them coming to Birmingham close to valentines, job done, points earned.

I'm not the biggest WWW fan, but they did put on a good show, although I was secretly dreading the point when THAT song came on.

Marti Pellow was on fine form laughing and joking with the crowd in between hits and the enjoyment being had by all was clear to see.

Billy Idol- 26th March 2016 - House of Blues Las Vegas

This was another set of tickets booked for Mrs T (I'm starting realise I'm not that bad a husband).  We were in Las Vegas on holiday when the Oor Wullie lookalike rocker started his residency there.  This was a proper rock and roll show.  Lots of hits, lots of noise and lots of enjoyment.

I have a huge amount of respect for Steve Stephens guitar work and think he is truly one of the modern greats. But his guitar playing siren noises was one step too far for me, less of the tricks and more of the licks please.

ZZ Top - 23rd June 2016 - O2 Academy Birmingham

I have stated previously just how much of a ZZ top fan I am, and I try to see them every time they come to the UK, I could watch Billy Gibbons play forever (and I had points in the bag after Wet Wet Wet and Billy Idol).

This was the day of the Brexit referendum, but Billy Dusty and Frank tearing it was way more important that day (I had voted early in the morning).  The trademark stagecraft and heavenly guitar tone was there to be seen.  Needless to say I had a ball.  You never know just how long the Reverend Willy G is going to carry on (he's 70 in 2019!).  But while he's playing, I'm watching!
Got to love that little ol band from Texas!
