Ewans 2013 concerts

Bruce Springsteen - 22nd June 2013 - Ricoh Arena Coventry

This was another one of Mrs T's picks, her and her whole family enjoy Springsteen.  Of course I was a willing companion, as its the boss after all.

This was not exception to Bruce's reputation for legendary live shows.  It was brilliant, 3 and 1/2 hours non stop, this is a push for some of the bands in their 20's, never mind these guys in their mid 60's.  The way Springsteen marshal's the crowd is amazing, and the E street band aren't half bad either.  i would have loved to have seen them  before Clarence Clemons passed away, but his son does a great job in filling these boots.

This was a great show and I would definitely watch them again.  50,000 people the arena dancing in the dark all the way to their cars
Bruce Springsteen and special guest!!
Madness - 23rd September 2013 - Northamptonshire Country Cricket Club

Mrs T and I both have a soft spot for this group.  When we first met in the late 90's we would dance away like idiots to Madness on the dancefloor during random weeknights out (when we probably should have been studying harder).  So when we heard they were playing at our local county cricket club we jumped at the chance to revisit our youth.  It didn't quite pan out like this.
Whether it was the constant drivel being said on stage 'cashier number 4 please' must have shouted in the mics about 20 times. Or the scores of die hards in shiny suits and trilbys with sunglasses at 10pm, I don't know, but this was a complete let down.  Didn't even stay for the finish as beating the traffic seemed more appealing.  Apparently that was breaking all the rules.
